It is more a reflection to what I have achieved until now writing on Medium. I am not sure how many stories I have written but I think already quite a lot, about 200.
Usually, I write about installing softwares and libraries, registering to platforms, sharing codes (mostly JS and Python), or just mumbling unclear ideas about writing on Medium. There was time when it was not so fun anymore due to my own restrictions in producing the stories, e.g. references to other Medium stories and mentioning the authors, etc.
Even in the beginning I want to write like dancing in the wide, plain, obstacleless open field, where you can close your eyes and let the feet take you while you balancing the posture due to the movement of hands, head, and other parts of your body. You do not have to worry to bump to walls or simply trip down due to obstacles on the ground.
You just let your fingers dance on the keyboards producing word by word, whatever topics crossing your mind. But in reality, it not so easy. The word choices, the flow between sentences, the sections (when you use them), and the illustration(s) try to doubt you while writing. There will be always inner sound that tell you to worry, instead of convince you.
Another things to worry about are whether the story will have reader(s) and when there were readers, would they clap and even give comment? These are the stages every writers hope to get, readers, claps, comments. It can be so desperated if even none read your story.
There are statements with similar idea saying if you like writing, then you do not care whether people read or do not read your writing. I am not sure it is a wisdom or an excuse of inability to produce interesting writing.
Other guidance is to read a lot before writing, so you can get better ideas, motivation, and inspirations to writite. And this can be also used to postpone the writing process since you have not read sufficient materials.
I think I will try new approach. Set a goal to write everyday with minimum constraints and make better everyday. To make it easier, it will use app in smartphone and not the desktop computer nor notebook. Computers will inttoduce more constraints than smartphone since they provide the feature to browse the internet while writing at the same screen. It is different when using smartphone that will make you focus since most smartphone only have single screen.
This approach seems promising, but it requires sufficient ideas and knowledge to write. With consistency, I believe, the writing will be better everyday. Just let it be a hypotheses and prove it while writing consistenly. The last but not the least, the writing could take place in bed, before sleep in the night. Thank you for reading this story. Please give comment to improve my writing skill.
